Owie stick! What’s that?

I am an advocate for all things health related. I love learning new products and new ways to help my family be healthy. Since I started using young living essential oils, I keep learning new uses for them. Most recently, I have discovered that you can make your own owie sticks. These sticks are great for cuts, scrapes, bumps, bruises, and bug bites. The best part is they are completely organic, homemade, and natural.
The products in the owie stick include: Organic shea butter, organic coconut oil, organic beeswax, young living essential oil purification, and young living essential oil lavender.

Each product in the owie sticks have different qualities.

Shea butter is good for nourishing skin and healing skin problems

Coconut oil has antiviral, antibacterial, and anti fungal capabilities

Beeswax stops itchiness and is a natural skin protectant,

YL purification helps relieve stings or bites and

YL lavender helps soothe and promote healthy skin regrowth.

Recipe:

½ cup shea butter

½ cup coconut oil

1.5 tablespoon beeswax

15 drops YL purification

15 drops YL lavender

Directions:

Melt down the shea butter, coconut oil, and beeswax in a double boiler

I don’t have one so I just used a pot of hot water and glass bowl on top!

Once it is completely melted, remove from heat and let cool for a minute or two.

Add in 15 drops of YL purification and 15 Drops of YL lavender.

Stir well.

Pour the mix into the empty lip balm containers. Set it aside for an hour or two until it hardens.

Makes about 25 lip calm containers.

I hope this has helped you understand what the owie stick is and how it can be helpful to your family. If you have any questions or are interested in learning more about the essential oils, e-mail me at CandaceGWu@gmail.com
